Why there hasn't been a heap-lotta blogging (or writing…or anything else, for that matter) lately:

Tonight will mark the fourth day working on this section of the roof. We had to tear off four layers of asphalt shingles and one of the old turn-of-the-century cedar shake shingles. Then new sheeting, etc…

After this, we'll be at the half-way mark! Yippee!

Everywhere I go, I'm asked if I think the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a best seller that could have been prevented by a good teacher.
